The Great Handy Name List (Mark II)

This list is a compilation of every name I've seen the duplicate Doctor (Ten II, Handy, 10.5, 10.2, Blue Suit Ten, TenToo, Doctor #2) adopt in fic.

"John Smith" is so popular it's been omitted; the list of citations would have been a mile long.
I'm only including things that he seriously uses as his name. Some of these are borderline, but I've included them as long as someone who knows who he really is uses the name at least once, or discusses it as if it's his real name.
I've left out a few crackfics where he temporarily adopts silly names.
Each name on the list is a link to the relevant portion of the fic it came from. The moment of naming may be spoilery for the rest of the story; read at your own risk.
Whatever your opinion on the idea of the Doctor adopting a human name, be nice in your comments.

Kinkmeme master list

This is a list of my kinkmeme fics, with notes and links to the final Teaspoon versions (great for extremely minor edits and that time I forgot my own title). It'll be updated when I write more. Which I'm pretty sure I will.

Punishment (Prompt: Ten/Rose, wherein the Doctor gets spanked and finds he likes it more than he should.)

My first kinkmeme story. Not something I'd ordinarily write, but that's what the kinkmeme's for, right? Spanking isn't a big kink of mine, but I can dig the exposure/vulnerability aspects. Mostly, though, I wanted to do fic where a pain kink wasn't coupled with dominance or humiliation. The 'you're bad/naughty/slutty' aspect to a lot of BDSM doesn't do much for me, even when it's clearly in a scene for the participants' enjoyment. So I write stuff like this.
Calibration (Prompt: Eleven, masturbation. This younger body has certain needs, leading to a nightly habit long since abandoned.)

This began as some random fragments meant for Ten, but when I saw the kinkmeme prompt for Eleven I redid it. It was written before the regeneration, so the Doctor's characterization is necessarily pretty generic.
The Fifteenth Hour (Prompt: Eleven. Putting that flexibility to good use.)

I have this lurking fear that I misinterpreted the prompt and the OP totally did not mean auto-fellatio, but I could be wrong. I almost didn't do this; I didn't think it would be different enough from the previous story, and who the hell writes TWO stories about the masturbatory habits of a Doctor who has yet to appear in a full episode? I DO. I wasn't even attracted to Eleven at this point, for heaven's sake. I tried for as little overlap with the other story as possible, while still having basically nothing to go on wrt characterization, and vowed never to write Eleven wanking again. We'll see how well I do on that.
Needs (Prompt: Martha/Nine - spanking and pegging (ie she does him with a strap-on).)

I was uncertain of my ability to write Martha or Nine (which is probably why Nine gets no lines, though I figured he'd be pretty taciturn regardless), but this came together rather quickly. It was surprisingly easy to come up with their motivations, considering that it's a pairing I never would have thought of writing on my own.
Borrowed Time (Prompt: Ten/Donna/Handy DP. Ten catches Donna & Handy kissing and things go from there.)

I have no idea how this prompt went unfilled for a year and a half. Handy/Donna seems obvious: they have this bond from the metacrisis, they've both just been through traumatic events they didn't expect to survive, what else do you need? In my mind, in this moment, Rose has nothing to do with it; he's sure that she'll be staying with Ten, and he doesn't have the faintest idea what he's going to do with his own life. He and Ten both know that Donna will either die or lose her memories, even if she doesn't know it yet (or isn't admitting it to herself). So for both Doctors, this is all about Donna, and I couldn't help twisting the knife a bit.

(I was well along in my thinking before I even noticed the "DP" part of the prompt. Oops. Along with anyone getting spanked and Eleven wanking, anal sex was something I'd pretty much decided not to write again. But damned if I was going to abandon the prompt now, so I went for it.)
Reconciliation (Prompt: Duplicate Ten/Rose. Shower sex. Bonus points for making it angsty somehow.)

I wrote the shower sex right away, and then spent ages wrestling with the angst, knowing that every possible minor conflict between the two of them had already been done better by people who actually had a grasp of plots and stuff. Because of all my handwringing, they do not get around to fucking until page three. OF A KINKMEME STORY. :shame: Afterward, I didn't want to cop out with "So, everything's fine now that they have done sex," but I'm still not sure Rose should really apologize; the worst thing she did was snap after he assumed that of course she'd be comparing him to the other Doctor. But I think she would apologize, and by that point the Doctor's unwound enough that he can admit that she was right. I tend to think of the Doctor as someone from whom a small concession can be meaningful, and he's never been great at Talking About His Feelings, so that was as close as I could get to a resolution.

I also spent far too much time researching British showering habits; did you know that apparently nobody actually uses washcloths/flannels when bathing? (Even young American men think they are disgusting and prefer manly bath puffs or something.) I was unwilling to give up the washcloth kinky bits, though, so I am playing the Pete's World card and declaring that shower gel was never invented in the other universe.
Touch of Grey (Prompt: Ten II/Rose. Rose tries to comfort Ten II upon him finding a few gray hairs.)

My little paean to long-term-relationship sex. Should I be worried about how easily fluffy domestic Handy/Rose comes to me? (Blow jobs are fluffy and domestic, right? Of course they are.)

I really dislike stories where Ten or Handy are exaggeratedly childish about finding a gray hair or catching a cold or something, so I tried to keep it fairly restrained. I also spent more time than really necessary trying to figure out whether Rose would have turned 30 yet in this story; I thought it might play into any teasing/comforting regarding their respective ages, but decided that was too much of a tangent.

And, in my one-woman crusade to fill in tiny gaps in the Doctor Who smut world, I decided in mid-draft not to have the blow job end with swallowing. I don't have strong feelings on the subject, and I had originally been planning on going there, but then I realized I was delaying writing that bit out of boredom. So I wrote something else instead. I'm obscurely amused by the thought that they've been doing this for so long that they have a routine. But not a routine they find dull.
In the Dark (Prompt: Doctor/Rose. [Author's note: I went with Ten.] Blindness. Like, physical blindness from an accident or something, not a blindfold. Temporary for less angst if you want, I'm not picky. But would love some hurt/comfort.)

I try to keep fic as non-autobiographical as possible; nothing in my stories, beyond fleeting impressions, has anything very specific to do with my actual life. This is as close as I've come to adapting a real experience -- and that's for the framing story, not the sex. About ten years ago, I had to go to the ER and get an eye patched overnight. Nothing serious, but I was miserable when we got home, and my husband sat with me on the couch and played Catch Phrase with me to keep me amused. That's where the similarities end.

This story went through more mental drafts than usual, mostly because I couldn't decide how much of an established relationship to give the Doctor and Rose. Rose is awfully vulnerable in this situation, so it didn't feel right to make it their first time. My original idea of how the story would go had a much more firmly established relationship, which let the Doctor go ahead without significant back-and-forth with Rose, but (a) it could easily read as skeevy if she didn't get to give him any overt encouragement and (b) the established relationship went a long way toward defusing the general angstiness of it all. It became pure "sit back, relax, there will be comfort sex." That may not have been a bad thing -- I liked the "sit back, relax" story. But when I buckled down to write it, the angsty stuff came out first, and the OP didn't mind angst, so angst it was. Plus, I have another established-relationship comfort sex story in the queue, and I didn't want to repeat myself. So I tried for the middle ground with "not the first time for sex, but it's not commonplace either." It still feels a little wobbly, like I said either too much or not enough about their history, but what finally decided me was the fact that I'm never going to write TIP/TSP fic, so if I didn't allude to it here I wasn't going to anywhere.

As for the details of the sex itself -- I guess it's that damned one-woman crusade again. I keep finding myself wanting to write slightly nonstandard activities. I don't set out to do that, really; I wasn't flipping through a manual trying to find something I hadn't written before. I did not say, "Aha, I will co-opt this prompt and make it about intercrural sex." Actually, I worry that I may anti-kink people by throwing in stuff like that. Especially when I'm writing to a prompt and I don't want to squick the OP. I originally thought this one might involve a hand job -- despite a certain fondness for that sort of fic, I don't think I've ever actually written it myself. But this story ran away with me a little. I don't want to be overly indulgent when it comes to that sort of thing (someone shoot me if I ever say "well, my characters wanted to do it this way" or, god help me, refer to "my muse") but I liked the result well enough to keep it.
